We provide user-friendly, evidence based information on asthma and its management. Anyone is able to access free advice and support through the Asthma Information Line on 1800 645 130, staffed by trained health professionals, and via the content rich website of the Foundation.
Asthma Assist
Asthma Assist is a FREE information service for people with asthma or who have an interest in asthma.
By joining you receive:
Subscription to onAIR – our free email newsletter Sent up to 6 times a year, onAIR features information about topics such as asthma research, medications and devices and asthma triggers.
A free Asthma Control Pack - this includes an Asthma Emergency Card and other useful information to help people manage their Asthma.
A free asthma first aid magnet - to ensure people know what to do in an asthma emergency.
Asthma Friendly Schools Program
The aim of the Asthma Friendly Schools program is to improve the quality of life, health outcomes and well being for school children with asthma. This achieved by supporting the whole school community in understanding and managing asthma. Benefits for schools that have become Asthma Friendly include: a reduction in student absenteeism due to asthma, less asthma emergencies, increased student participation in sports, camps and excursions, and an increase in the number of students having a written Asthma Action Plan, which has been shown to lead to better health outcomes for people with asthma. Asthma Training
Are you able to recognise the signs of an asthma attack? Would you know what to do if someone in your care had an asthma attack? Do you know how to administer asthma medication? Asthma educators are available to visit your school, workplace, nursing home or organisation.
