Some information for you.......................
By giving children messy play opportunities, we give them the opportunity to explore materials fully. Messy play is also enjoyable; we have only to look at children freely exploring water and paint to see their enjoyment and, as the Primary Strategy document Excellence and Enjoyment (DFES 2003) stresses, enjoyment is a good thing and something to aspire to and encourage in all early years settings.
Under the SA Curriculum Standards, they believe an environment rich in sensory experiences, young children use their curiosity to explore, discover and construct understandings. Play experiences with sand, water, mud, clay, paint, natural materials, fabrics and objects invite children to touch, feel, observe, listen, smell, discover, enjoy and learn
Great for groups looking to promote parenting skills also. We can come to your place - great for mothers groups.
Working together on a project encourages team work and positive bonding. Nowadays parents can be too busy to spend a whole hour interacting with their child. At splodge kindercraft workshops, the projects are designed to include a 5% element which has to be done by an adult. This ensures the parent and child have to work together. We encourage positive learning and actively make use of materials to stimulate the senses.
